Regional Director, Facilities Operations & Service Delivery
Location: Beachwood, OH (travel across Northeast Ohio)
Compensation: $110,000–$150,000 per year
About the Opportunity
Kintara has teamed up with a rapidly growing Northeast Ohio facilities services provider supporting healthcare, commercial, and nonprofit clients. Their portfolio spans integrated facility maintenance, commercial cleaning, preventive programs, grounds care, and construction-related services. We’re hiring a hands-on operations leader to own everything that happens after the ink dries on a contract—staffing, scheduling, service delivery, and budget performance.
You’ll have significant autonomy, direct access to company ownership, and the mandate to build scalable systems as the organization expands. Your impact will be felt through clear processes, disciplined execution, and consistently excellent client experiences.
A Day in the Role
- Start with priority reviews across multiple client sites—confirm schedules, work orders, and preventive maintenance plans are on track.
- Coach field supervisors, technicians, and cleaning teams; set expectations for quality, safety, and customer service.
- Walk key facilities with clients, resolve service concerns, and align on upcoming needs.
- Coordinate specialty vendors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, landscaping, snow removal) and manage subcontractor performance.
- Monitor labor hours, materials, and margin at the contract level; verify timesheets, overtime, purchasing, and invoicing accuracy.
- Lead transitions for new contracts: staffing models, equipment, route plans, service schedules, and performance standards.
- Own emergency service escalation and ensure rapid, coordinated response.
What You’ll Build
- Standardized operating procedures, checklists, inspection protocols, onboarding, and reporting frameworks.
- CMMS, scheduling, and time-tracking systems that improve visibility, accountability, and efficiency.
- A scalable supervision model by recruiting, training, and developing high-performing field leadership.
- Operational rhythms that consistently meet quality, safety, regulatory, and client-specific requirements.
About You
- 5+ years in facilities management, building maintenance, commercial cleaning, construction operations, or similar service operations.
- 2+ years leading field teams, overseeing crews, or managing multi-site operations.
- Working knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and preventive maintenance.
- Hands-on experience developing SOPs and standardizing service delivery.
- Comfort leading hourly teams, building schedules, staffing routes, and supporting after-hours needs.
- Financial acumen: budgets, labor management, job profitability, and operational KPIs.
- Client-facing communicator with confidence engaging facility leaders, contractors, vendors, and executives.
- Fluent with CMMS/work-order platforms, scheduling tools, and Microsoft 365.
- Independent operator with strong decision-making and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Leads with accountability while cultivating a positive, performance-oriented culture.
- Preferred: healthcare or other regulated environment experience; familiarity with OSHA, healthcare compliance, or Joint Commission.
- Plus: IFMA FMP/CFM, OSHA 30, ISSA, or relevant trade licenses; subcontractor management experience.
- Valid driver’s license with regular travel to sites across Northeast Ohio.
What You’ll Get
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
- Performance bonus tied to operational results, profitability, and client retention.
- Potential long-term equity participation or profit-sharing based on performance and growth.
- Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement, plus company phone and laptop.
- Significant ownership of daily operations and direct collaboration with leadership.
- Clear runway for long-term career growth within a scaling Northeast Ohio organization.
Why This Role
Rather than maintain a legacy machine, you’ll help build it—designing systems, developing teams, and installing the operational backbone for continued expansion. If you’re energized by ownership, accountability, and visible impact, this is where you’ll thrive.
