Regional Bulk Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for driving Sales growth and profitability of Bulk Gases within an assigned geographic region. This role leads a team of 5-7 Sales Representatives responsible for signing new business and maintenance / renewal of existing business. Product portfolio includes bulk liquid atmospheric gases (oxygen, nitrogen and argon) as well as carbon dioxide, hydrogen and helium. Coaches sales team in prospecting, commercial proposal development, contract negotiation, price management, customer relationship management and ensuring customer satisfaction. Plays direct active role in above activities with large accounts.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 annually + Bonus

Business Development & Sales Growth

• Partner with Marketing, Product Management and Geographic Sales teams (Bulk Gases, Packaged Gases, Carbonic Products, Onsite / Pipeline and others) to identify and pursue new Bulk Sales opportunities.
• Qualify potential customers by assessing financial viability, technical requirements, and competitive market conditions.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve regional sales, revenue, and gross profit objectives.
• Provide market intelligence and subject matter expertise to support business development initiatives and marketing plans.

Proposal Development & Commercial Strategy

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop commercial proposal considering Gross Profit After Distribution (GPAD) and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) estimates.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals that align with customer specifications, project requirements, and company standards.
• Manage pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure terms meet business objectives.

Account Management & Customer Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Manage account profitability and identify opportunities for growth within current accounts.
• Lead contract renewal activities to secure and expand long-term business partnerships.
• Support accounts receivable and collection efforts as needed.

Project Coordination & Customer Support

• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal functional teams throughout account lifecycle.
• Coordinate activities related to installation, modifications, maintenance, service, and project removals.
• Ensure a seamless customer experience through effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and current customer, opportunity, and sales data within the Nippon Sanso Matheson Sales Model system.
• Prepare and submit timely reports related to sales activity, forecasts, and business performance.
• Manage travel expenses responsibly and complete required training programs.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, ethics, and administrative requirements.
• Promote a culture of compliance and operational excellence in all customer and business interactions.

Essential Functions

• Provide expert input to business development and marketing plans
• Ensure that team maintains accurate sales reporting and CRM records
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Travel estimated to be 50%
