Backpack Healthcare is a Medicaid-first, whole-family behavioral telehealth provider helping children, teens, young adults, and families access high-quality mental healthcare.
We’re looking for an energetic, outgoing Referral Partner Manager to help us expand our referral network and strengthen relationships with healthcare and community partners in an assigned local territory.
This is a true field-based relationship-building role. You’ll spend your time meeting people face-to-face, introducing Backpack’s services, educating referral partners, and re-engaging organizations that have gone quiet.
And we make it easy: your weekly stops, contacts, addresses, and driving routes are planned for you in advance. You focus on building relationships—we’ll handle the logistics.
This role follows a predictable weekly schedule:
You’ll receive your itinerary and route at the beginning of each week, including stops, addresses, and contacts. Your job is to execute the plan, build relationships, and document your results.
As a Referral Partner Manager, you will:
You’ll have clear goals and the tools to achieve them.
Weekly targets include:
A meaningful visit is a 5+ minute face-to-face interaction that introduces services, provides education, addresses needs, or advances the relationship. Simply dropping off materials does not count as a meaningful visit.
This role is designed to create a reliable, trackable referral pipeline. Every meaningful visit must be documented in HubSpot the same day.
You’ll capture key details such as:
Marketing-material drop-offs are still encouraged and may contribute to performance incentives when they generate a new referral partner.
Base Pay: $20/hour
Earn an additional $100/week when you activate 5+ referral partners in a week.
An activated partner is a targeted prospect who submits and has referrals received by Backpack Healthcare.
Week is defined as Sunday–Saturday.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
Healthcare experience is helpful—but personality, reliability, and relationship-building skills are what matter most.
At Backpack, we believe access to mental healthcare should be easier for families.
As a clinician-led, Medicaid-first behavioral health organization, we’re working to remove barriers to care and connect families with the support they need—when they need it.
If you’re someone who loves being out in the community, meeting new people, building genuine relationships, and making a measurable impact, we’d love to meet you!
