We are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic, and people-oriented Recruiting Specialist to support our state's talent acquisition efforts. This role focuses on candidate sourcing, outreach, job postings, follow-up, relationship building, and pipeline development to connect qualified individuals with career opportunities. The Recruiting Specialist will build relationships with colleges, universities, community partners, professional organizations, and other talent sources to identify both active and passive candidates, while also supporting recruiting events, job fairs, community outreach, and recruitment marketing efforts.
Success in this hands-on role requires strong communication, organization, persistence, and follow-through, along with the ability to manage high-volume activity and remain focused and productive with routine tasks. The position requires collaboration with team members and agency partners to support effective recruiting strategies. Seasonal and occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
This position may be performed remotely from a home office located within the Sioux Falls, Brookings, or Madison areas as periodic travel to recruiting events will be required. Additional details regarding remote work expectations can be discussed during the interview process.
