Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Attract, engage, and evaluate candidates for owner-operator, driver, and terminal opportunities
- Serve as an initial point of contact and deliver a professional, responsive candidate experience
- Maintain consistent follow-up to keep candidates engaged throughout the recruiting and onboarding process
- Support onboarding coordination to help ensure smooth transitions from candidate to active driver
Driver Retention & Engagement
- Support driver retention initiatives by maintaining regular communication with drivers and owner-operators
- Partner with operations, safety, and terminal teams to help address driver questions or concerns
- Assist with tracking driver feedback, trends, and common issues impacting retention
- Support outreach related to anniversaries, check-ins, reactivation efforts, and other initiatives
- Help reinforce company culture, expectations, and values through messaging and follow-through
Systems, Reporting & Process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the recruiting CRM and related systems
- Track recruiting and retention activity, supporting reporting on pipeline, onboarding, and retention metrics
- Follow established workflows and contribute to process documentation and consistency
- Coordinate with the marketing team to support recruiting and retention campaigns
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum 1-year experience in a recruiting role preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations, driver qualifications, and CSA.
- Familiar with basic DOT driver hiring requirements and compliance.
- Professional written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
- Proven ability to develop strong working relationships.
- High degree of professional integrity.
