Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting for a variety of key positions in Plano, TX. This contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on recruiter with strong sourcing capabilities, excellent hiring manager partnership skills, and experience recruiting in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
The Recruiter will manage the recruiting lifecycle from intake and sourcing through candidate selection, offer, and close. This role will also proactively develop talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and recurring positions while advising hiring managers on candidate evaluation, interview practices, market conditions, and recruiting strategy.
The ideal candidate has 45 years of progressive recruiting experience with full-cycle ownership. Experience recruiting for manufacturing, industrial, skilled trades, hourly operations, or engineering positions is strongly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesFull-Cycle Recruiting
Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate selection, offers, and closing.
Conduct thorough phone screens and candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, role alignment, and organizational fit.
Prepare and extend employment offers in accordance with established compensation and approval guidelines.
Manage offer negotiations and facilitate a smooth transition from candidate acceptance to onboarding.
Communicate hiring decisions and candidate dispositions professionally and promptly to maintain a positive candidate experience.
Manage multiple open requisitions and recruiting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Sourcing and Talent Pipeline Development
Proactively source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, social media, referrals, networking, trade schools, universities, recruiting agencies, and industry events.
Develop and maintain talent pipelines for recurring, high-priority, and hard-to-fill positions.
Re-engage qualified previous applicants and silver-medalist candidates for appropriate opportunities.
Develop targeted sourcing strategies based on position requirements, market conditions, and candidate availability.
Support employer branding initiatives through candidate outreach, recruiting content, networking, and event participation.
Participate in career fairs and recruiting events to expand talent networks and candidate pipelines.
Hiring Manager Partnership
Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, candidate profiles, success criteria, and interview plans.
Serve as a recruiting advisor to hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
Provide guidance on structured interviewing, consistent candidate evaluation, and timely interviewer feedback.
Gather and synthesize interview feedback to facilitate clear and timely hiring decisions.
Provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, compensation trends, candidate expectations, and sourcing strategies.
Maintain consistent communication with hiring managers regarding requisition status, candidate pipelines, and recruiting activity.
Interview and Candidate Coordination
Schedule candidate interviews and coordinate interview teams and panels.
Ensure candidates and interviewers receive appropriate information and preparation before interviews.
Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout each stage of the recruiting process.
Support a consistent, professional, and positive candidate experience from initial contact through disposition or hire.
Recruiting Operations and Compliance
Maintain accurate and current candidate, requisition, and recruiting activity records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Document candidate and hiring manager communications throughout the recruiting process.
Coordinate background checks and pre-employment requirements.
Verify employment eligibility and ensure required recruiting and hiring documentation is complete and compliant.
Identify recruiting process gaps and recommend improvements to increase hiring speed, quality, consistency, and candidate experience.
Track and communicate recruiting metrics and pipeline activity, including open requisition status, sourcing activity, and candidate flow.
Perform additional recruiting and talent acquisition responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
45 years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting experience.
Demonstrated experience independently managing the full recruiting lifecycle.
Strong proactive sourcing skills, including LinkedIn, social sourcing, referrals, direct outreach, and talent pipeline development.
Experience conducting candidate screens and assessing qualifications against position requirements.
Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and other business stakeholders.
Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain accurate and compliant recruiting documentation.
Must be willing and able to work onsite in Plano, TX during training and primarily onsite thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
Recruiting experience within manufacturing, industrial, or skilled trades environments.
Experience recruiting hourly operations positions.
Engineering recruiting experience is a strong plus.
Experience recruiting within a high-growth or high-volume environment.
Experience developing proactive talent pipelines for recurring or hard-to-fill positions.
Experience improving interview structure, selection consistency, and candidate experience.
Experience coaching hiring managers or interviewers on structured interviewing and candidate evaluation.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
Work Environment
Fully onsite in Plano, TX during the training period.
