Receptionist

Asks for caller's or visitor's name, arranges for appointment with or notifies person called upon on caller's arrival, guides caller to destination, and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon. Scan and file patient documents into the EMR, including insurance cards, identification cards, and other required documentation.

Our client, a Cancer Center company, is looking for a Receptionist for their South Pasadena, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Greets and receives callers or visitors at establishment, and ascertains nature of business.
• Asks for caller's or visitor's name, arranges for appointment with or notifies person called upon on caller's arrival, guides caller to destination, and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon.
• Scan and file patient documents into the EMR, including insurance cards, identification cards, and other required documentation.
• Collect and process patient co-payments as applicable.
• Complete patient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Verify patient demographic and insurance information at each visit and update any changes to insurance coverage, contact information, or other relevant details.
• Receptionist role will support the South Pasadena Radiation Oncology front desk.
• Some of the tasks will be greeting patients, taking calls, check-in and appointment scheduling.
