Job Description
The Company is seeking a Receiving Office Associate to join the Platt team in Sumner, WA. The Receiving Office Associate is responsible for supporting the receiving department with desk operations, data entry, reconciliations, phone and email communication, and completing Receiver III duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Support a safe work environment and immediately address safety concerns
Perform daily reconciliations
Complete data entry and maintain records accurately
Use AS400, Warehouse Management Software (WMS), and other systems for receiving and inbound freight tasks
Document packing slips, BOLs, and POs for damaged, short, or lost shipments
Ensure jobs are assigned correctly and completed properly
Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely, courteous manner and take messages when needed
Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
Maintain required standards in three zones in accordance with company policies for accuracy and productivity
Report damage to electronic hardware or material handling equipment immediately to a supervisor
Properly use computer programs and hardware needed to complete job tasks
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required
1%2B years of distribution center receiving experience
Ability to obtain certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
Training will be provided by the company

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with receiving functions in Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
Willingness to be trained on material handling equipment, including:
Forklifts
Stand-up reach truck
High-reach narrow aisle equipment
Ability to apply basic math in a work environment
Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
Ability to resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to work overtime as needed
