Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified within 90 days of hire

Physical Requirements

Requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds. Also requires some repetitive motion tasks.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the Breast Imaging Center team and enhancing the patient experience throughout their visit. This position assists technologists in the care and preparation of patients undergoing breast imaging exams, helping to ensure a smooth, efficient, and compassionate experience.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients regarding appointment flow and any delays, providing updates to help alleviate anxiety and improve patient satisfaction, and assisting with patient throughput and room turnover to maintain operational efficiency. The assistant will help prepare exam rooms between patients, stock necessary supplies, support workflow activities that allow technologists to focus on direct patient care, and other duties as assigned.

Additional duties include transporting specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner, assisting with coordination of patient movement throughout the department, and providing general support for daily operations within the Breast Imaging Center. The Technologist Assistant serves as a valued member of the care team by promoting excellent customer service, maintaining a patient-centered environment, and contributing to safe, high-quality care for every patient.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Excel, customer service skills, willingness to learn. Attention to detail, accuracy, computer literacy, sensitivity to patient privacy, healthcare or medical office experience.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Equivalent of a High School diploma plus BLS certification (within 90 days of hire) and more than 2 years healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
