Radiologic Technologist

Astera Health is currently accepting applications for a XR/CT Technologist. 

This position is scheduled for 0.7 FTE (average 56 hours per biweekly pay period), primarily two 12-hour shifts (Wednesdays and Thursdays overnight, 7 pm – 7 am), as well as working every 3rd weekend overnight (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 11 pm – 7 am). • Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Verify patient identity, review exam orders, and explain procedures to patients.
• Perform portable imaging for surgical settings,  inpatients, and emergency department patients as needed.
• Assist with emergency and trauma imaging in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
• Operate and maintain radiography and CT equipment, performing routine quality control checks.
• Document procedures accurately in Epic and PACS systems.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend imaging needs as required.
• Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient care.

• Completion of a formal training in an AMA approved school for Registered Radiologic Technologists
• A. R. R. T. Certification 
• 1-2 years experience in a hospital setting performing x-rays and CT is preferred

Pay or shift range: $29.56 USD  to $50.60 USD
