Compensation: $31.00 - $38.75 per hour

Are you a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist ready to transition your clinical mastery into a rewarding career in academia? Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Radiography Instructor to join our San Antonio faculty.

In this role, you will be the primary mentor for students, guiding them from their first day in the classroom to their final clinical competencies. We provide the pedagogical training and a structured environment-you provide the clinical expertise to shape the next generation of imaging experts.

Essential Functions

  • Curriculum Leadership: Design, implement, and evaluate daily lesson plans; tailor instruction to meet specific student needs while adhering to the established curriculum.

  • Student Success & Retention: Drive results by maintaining an 80% success rate for all classes; implement proactive interventions and mentorship to reduce program withdrawals.

  • Academic Management: Maintain precise student grades and attendance records; monitor student progress and coordinate with campus leadership to ensure consistent engagement.

  • Comprehensive Instruction: Conduct dynamic lectures, high-fidelity lab demonstrations, and practical evaluations in radiography techniques and radiation safety.

  • Clinical Coordination: Assist and advise students on curriculum requirements and coordinate student externships as needed.

  • Accreditation Support: Participate in JRCERT accreditation and assessment tasks as assigned by the Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized body.

  • Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT/USDE recognized).

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical diagnostic radiography experience.

  • Licensure: ARRT registration in Radiologic Sciences and current Texas state licensure (or equivalent).

  • Technical Skills: Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant educational software.

Preferred:

  • One (1) year of documented teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program.

  • Experience in course development, academic advising, and student mentorship.
