Pay Range: $36.00hr - $41.00hr
Job Overview:
The candidate performs research and engineering laboratory functions including constructing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. The role involves working from engineering drawings and maintaining complete documentation across all development phases.
Responsibilities:
- Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modification of mechanical or electro-mechanical materials, devices, assemblies, sub-assemblies, systems, and products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
- Perform a variety of duties across electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas.
- Build and assemble prototype materials, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Construct, operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, maintain, and test equipment, systems, or products.
- Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Perform tests, analyze data, and write comprehensive reports.
- Review or develop processing and manufacturing instructions.
- Maintain detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing, and analysis.
- Assist in the transfer of technology and contribute to cross-functional discussions regarding device performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 4-6 years of experience in an R&D or engineering laboratory environment.
