HumCap's client is seeking a Quality Engineer to help play a central part in maintaining the company's Quality Management System, leading internal and external audits, driving corrective action, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. What You'll Do- Maintain the Quality Management System per AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Lead internal audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors and the FAA.
- Issue FAA Form 8130-3 to certify airworthiness and traceability.
- Oversee calibration programs for precision equipment.
- Develop quality plans and inspection criteria.
- Lead root cause investigations for nonconformances using structured methodologies.
- Manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and evaluate supplier performance.
- Conduct Material Review Board activities on nonconforming materials.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum three years of manufacturing experience (aerospace preferred).
- Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to interpret complex drawings.
- Experience with 8D, FMEA, Minitab, or Net Inspect.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Digital literacy with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and QMS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Preferred Qualifications- ISO 9001 or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Knowledge of FAA Part 21 or Part 145.
- Avionics or aerospace electronics experience.
- REACH/RoHS compliance experience.
- AS9102 and First Article Inspection experience.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
