Applies quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory, and R&D for make‑or‑buy items. Performs technical evaluations of requirements, specifications, models, drawings, and procedures, and collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to establish and maintain quality standards. Leads failure investigations, Material Review Board (MRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) activities, and drives corrective/preventive actions that meet reliability and compliance requirements. Develops strategies and systems to improve internal and supplier performance, identifies and rectifies quality‑system deficiencies, and designs/analyses inspection and test processes and equipment. Conducts statistical analysis of failures, yields, rework, scrap, and non‑conformances, and supports Integrated Product Teams with data reviews. Performs audits and assessments for ISO‑9001/AS9100 compliance, evaluates design‑assurance and production‑process methodologies, and serves as the final authority on product acceptability. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on all quality‑related issues.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

• Technical Engineering degree in a Technical, Industrial, or Quality Assurance related field at the Bachelor level or above
• Experience leading cross functional yield improvement activities to include review, identification, and driving action plans of yield top drivers
• Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, and Contracts that will enable review of Quality Engineering processes, inspections, root causal analysis, problem solving, and taking action on related Performance Metrics
• Root causal analysis experience and demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical or process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Experience in disposition of non-conforming material or products

Desired Skills

• Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement associate (CQIA)
• Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Well versed in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, and technical writing
• Effective interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration
• Leadership and customer relationship management skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
