Pay: $39-$43/hr

Schedule: Day Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Duration: 2-year W2 Contract

Position Summary

Seeking a Quality Engineer to support engine assembly operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, plant-floor-focused role responsible for driving quality improvements, analyzing manufacturing data, resolving production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve quality issues on the production floor.
• Analyze SPC and assembly process data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Utilize quality tools, including PFMEAs, to improve manufacturing processes.
• Support continuous improvement and error-proofing initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and inspection data.
• Communicate quality concerns and progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 2-4 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SPC, PFMEAs, GD&T, and CMM operations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced plant environment with production personnel.

• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and conflict-resolution skills.
• Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor rather than at a desk.
