Job Summary:


The Quality Engineer works under immediate supervision and uses established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.


Essential Functions:


+ Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers

+ Collect and analyze production data to evaluate product quality

+ Conduct root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions

+ Stop production if serious product defects are present

+ Monitor quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency

+ Instruct others in quality control and analytical procedures

+ Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, root cause analyses, or quality trends

+ Review statistical studies, regulatory standards and trends in the field of quality control

+ Identify critical points in the Value Stream and specify sampling procedures

+ Drive qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted

+ Support audits with Defense, Aerospace and Customer Auditors

+ Provide support for failure analysis and reliability testing as required

+ Review and approve quality document changes - Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), deviations

+ Any other task assigned by supervisor or management


Minimum Qualifications:


+ Experience: 0-8 years of Quality Engineering experience

+ Knowledge: Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field

+ Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Full color acuity; Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in order to meet company standards and deadlines

+ Education/Certification: BA or BS degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering highly preferred

+ Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ​ FAA sensitive position – may be subject to a government security investigation to verify eligibility for access to classified information


Preferred Qualifications:


+ Experience in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting

+ ASQC Quality Engineer Certification


Working Conditions:


+ Standard office environment

+ Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail

+ Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

+ Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

+ May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

+ Standing: 10% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

+ Sitting: 90% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

+ Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

+ Pushing (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

+ Mental/Visual: use of computer, microscope

+ Workspace (line, cube, etc): cubicle/desk/work cell

_Salary range:_

Level I: $80,600.00 - $97,600.00 (0-2+ yrs of experience)


Level II: $95,600.00 - $112,400.00 (3+ yrs of experience)

Level III: $$115,000.00 - $$135,400.00 (5+ yrs of experience)


Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
