    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through effective problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to identify and resolve product and process issues, improve product quality, and maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS). The position supports document control activities, engineering change implementation, quality system maintenance, and ongoing efforts to improve manufacturing performance, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Investigate manufacturing, supplier, and customer quality issues using structured root cause analysis methodologies.
    • Lead and participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities to eliminate recurring quality issues.
    • Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting product, process, and assembly-related quality concerns.
    • Work with Engineering and Operations teams to identify, implement, and verify process improvements.
    • Analyze quality data, nonconformances, warranty claims, and customer feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
    • Maintain and improve quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records within the Quality Management System.
    • Support engineering change activities by updating drawings, specifications, bills of material, and controlled documentation.
    • Conduct investigations and disposition activities related to nonconforming material and manufacturing defects.
    • Assist with internal audits, external audits, and ISO 9001 compliance activities.
    • Support supplier quality investigations and corrective actions when required.
    • Help develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting to monitor process performance.
    • Facilitate problem-solving activities using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis, FMEA, and Statistical Analysis.
    • Provide quality-related training and guidance to employees as needed.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
    • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or engineering role preferred.
    • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing issues and driving root cause investigations.
    • Working knowledge of quality systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
    • Experience reviewing or updating technical drawings, procedures, bills of material, or manufacturing documentation preferred.
    • Familiarity with CAPA, nonconformance management, and corrective action processes.
    • Experience using quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, FMEA, SPC, or similar methodologies.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferred.
    • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred but not required.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
    • Effective communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Demonstrated initiative, learning agility, and potential for growth into a future Quality Manager role.

    Employee Type: Salaried

    Salary Minimum: 90,000

    Salary Maximum: 125,000
