Description

Pay Range: $27.00hr - $28.00hr

Job Overview:

The Project Management Office is seeking a Computer Support Specialist to perform Quality Assurance testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing test plans.
  • Writing detailed test cases based on project requirements.
  • Performing manual testing of applications.
  • Identifying and documenting bugs in the Jira environment.
  • Validating fixes by retesting identified bugs.
  • Designing and executing manual and automated test plans for new features and releases.
  • Building and maintaining a regression test suite to catch issues before they reach production.
  • Performing exploratory testing to catch edge cases automated tests may miss.
  • Partnering with engineers early in the development process to define acceptance criteria and testable requirements.
  • Tracking, prioritizing, and reporting on defects to ensure timely resolution.
  • Establishing QA metrics (defect escape rate, test coverage, time-to-detect) to measure quality improvements over time.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in NYS.
  • 3+ years of experience using Jira for test management or bug tracking.
  • 5+ years of experience performing unit, integration, UAT, regression, and system testing.
  • 2+ years of experience performing QA testing on Agile projects.
  • 5+ years of experience writing test scripts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
