Quality Analyst

Position Summary

The Quality Analyst supports the Quality Assurance team by inspecting products and processes, identifying quality issues, documenting findings, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, team-focused individual who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections and audits.

  • Inspect products and materials to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.

  • Maintain the quality cage and ensure materials are properly controlled.

  • Identify, document, sort, reject, and/or dispose of nonconforming materials.

  • Create and communicate quality alerts.

  • Participate in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) as needed.

  • Conduct time studies and support process improvement activities.

  • Assist with test plans, checklists, inspection documentation, and quality records.

  • Record and report inspection results, defects, and process issues.

  • Support quality metrics, trend analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with Production, Operations, and Engineering to resolve quality concerns.

  • Maintain quality documentation, including SOPs and inspection reports.

  • Support ISO and other applicable quality management standards.

  • Communicate with customers regarding specific quality issues when needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar quality role, preferably involving mechanical inspection and visual appearance standards.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Professional, personable, and presentable when interacting with customers and coworkers.

  • Willingness to work overtime, including occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings.

  • Willingness to meet with customers regarding quality concerns.

  • PLEX knowledge is a plus.
