Summary

Radwell International is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled QA Controls Technician to join our Production team. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, cleaning, programming, and validating industrial automation equipment to ensure products meet Radwell's quality standards before being made available for sale.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience working with PLCs, industrial controls, electronics, automation equipment, or troubleshooting electrical systems. The QA Controls Technician serves as a critical quality checkpoint within the production process and helps ensure customers receive reliable, fully functional products.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify part numbers and product information on all processed units
• Inspect, clean, test, and validate industrial automation equipment prior to sale
• Perform power-up, functional, and diagnostic testing on PLCs and industrial control equipment
• Utilize shop assets, testing fixtures, and diagnostic equipment appropriately
• Program and configure equipment as required during testing procedures
• Support and follow established quality methods, processes, and procedures
• Ensure products meet Radwell quality and functionality standards
• Support the development of new testing capabilities and validation processes
• Perform occasional light repairs and corrective actions when necessary
• Process pre-evaluation units to Ready-to-Sell (RTS) condition
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and documentation of all units
• Capture estimated labor and parts costs for repair opportunities
• Effectively prioritize workload and manage multiple assignments
• Accurately maintain records within company IT systems
• Utilize personal hand and power tools as required
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

• Industrial electronics and automation product knowledge preferred

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Technical School Certification in Electronics, Industrial Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred

OR

• One to three years of related industrial automation, controls, electronics, maintenance, or technical repair experience

• Industrial automation or industrial controls experience is a plus

Work Schedule

This is a full-time hourly position. Work schedule is 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. Overtime, including scheduled Saturdays, may be required based on business needs. Employees are expected to maintain reliable attendance and comply with scheduling and coverage requirements.

Work Environment

This position operates within a production and warehouse environment. Employees work with PLCs, industrial controls, automation equipment, testing systems, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Frequent standing, walking, repetitive hand motions, and lifting are required. Candidates should be comfortable troubleshooting technical products while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity expectations.
