Position Summary
We are seeking two Software Quality Engineers/SDETs to develop and execute automated API and UI testing solutions for the DDS initiative. This role requires hands-on Java coding, test automation development, manual testing, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities
Develop automated API tests using Java and REST Assured.
Develop automated UI tests using Selenium or Playwright.
Work toward 80% API automation coverage and 50% automation of critical UI test cases.
Identify and automate key business workflows.
Integrate automated tests with existing test infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, reporting, and monitoring tools.
Develop reusable and maintainable automation components.
Execute test plans, document results, and perform root-cause analysis.
Prepare test data and conduct peer reviews.
Determine which manual test cases should be automated.
Set up and maintain test environments.
Support production deployment and remediation testing.
Perform manual functional testing when needed.
Participate in software design and review sessions to ensure testing aligns with business requirements.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on Java development and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with REST Assured for API testing.
Experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI automation.
Experience using IntelliJ IDEA and Maven.
Experience with manual testing tools such as ALM or Xray.
Understanding of automation frameworks, CI/CD, test reporting, and root-cause analysis.
Financial services or payment systems experience.
Bonus
Experience with Fedwire applications, particularly Fedwire Securities.
