Job Description

We are seeking an Database Security Automation Engineer / Database Security Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database security engineering, process automation, and scripting across Python, Unix/KSH, and PowerShell, and a proven ability to design and certify software solutions that collect and analyze database entitlements and logins, address dormancy and revocations, and remediate access drift across large database environments.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer solutions to collect database entitlements and login data across enterprise RDBMS and NoSQL platforms.
• Design and implement process automation for identity and access management, password vaulting, activity monitoring, and encryption controls.
• Develop test cases and certification workflows to validate database security products and configurations.
• Detect and remediate dormancy, revocations, and access drift in alignment with security policies.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and manage work through Jira and Horizon tools.
• Partner with stakeholders to define standards and produce documentation for engineered controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on proficiency in Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell.
• Practical experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or other RDBMS.
• Experience conducting software or product certifications for security controls.
• Demonstrated process automation in database security domains.
• Working knowledge of database security areas including identity and access management, activity monitoring, and encryption.
• Experience with Jira and Horizon.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CockroachDB, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud databases on AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering.

Work Arrangement & Additional Information:

• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
• Glider assessment: Candidate ID Verification.
• Hours per day: 8. Labor type: Technical. Maximum submissions per supplier: 4.
