Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator
Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm
Salary:  $65,000-$68,000/yr (DOE)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to join the dynamic team of an established agricultural products distributor located in Fairmont, MN.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory replenishment, purchasing activities, product transfers, and transportation logistics across multiple warehouse and production locations. You will work closely with warehouse personnel, transportation providers, suppliers, and accounting teams to maintain inventory accuracy, streamline purchasing processes, and ensure the efficient movement of products throughout the supply chain.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and inventory management skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels across warehouse locations and evaluate replenishment requirements.
• Coordinate inventory transfers between warehouse locations.
• Manage, create and process purchase orders with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Schedule transportation and outbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing and logistics needs.
• Prepare Bills of Lading and shipping documentation.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related field preferred.
• Experience in purchasing, inventory control, logistics or warehouse operations preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP and inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.
• People Management experience.
• Team Management Skills and Working with other Departments on a Daily Basis.
