    Description

    The Public Works Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in public works infrastructure design and construction that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Engineer that has 10+ years of experience to work on-site in the Anaheim area. A full-time or part-time assignment will be considered.   

    Projects may include:

    • Street Widening or Rehabilitation
    • Sidewalk Gap Closure
    • Bridge Widening
    • Facility and On-Site Improvements

    As a Public Works Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage roadway, traffic, drainage, utility, and other public infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction.
    • Review roadway, grading, utility, right-of-way, traffic, storm drain, and sewer improvement plans to ensure compliance with City standards, codes, and regulations.
    • Procure and manage engineering consultants, including developing scopes of work, evaluating proposals, overseeing performance, and reviewing deliverables.
    • Administer construction contracts, including reviewing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, cost estimates, schedules, and other project documentation.
    • Coordinate with contractors, developers, consultants, utility agencies, and City departments to resolve technical issues and support successful project delivery.
    • Conduct field investigations and construction inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Prepare technical reports, staff reports, project schedules, budgets, and presentations for City leadership, commissions, and public meetings.
    • Provide engineering support for capital improvement projects, including project planning, design review, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
