PT Educational Support Specialist/Resource Teacher

Duties
The Educational Support Specialist / Resource Teacher collaborates directly with classroom teachers to interpret student benchmarking data and determine appropriate levels of support and intervention. Key responsibilities include:
Data-Driven Intervention: Analyzing benchmarking data to identify student needs and design targeted instructional strategies.
Instructional Accommodation & Modification: Adapting and modifying classwork to fit individual student learning profiles while maintaining high standards.
Direct Student Support: Pushing into classrooms to assist students during general instruction and pulling out small groups or individuals to deliver targeted academic intervention.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Valid State Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education (LBS1) or Learning Support preferred.
Compliance: Completion of the Child Protection Class (offered by the Diocese of Belleville) prior to employment.
Experience: Experience interpreting assessment data, implementing Response to Intervention (RTI) / MTSS frameworks, and working with diverse learning needs is strongly preferred.
Salary/Benefits
Salary Range: Pro-rated based on part-time schedule ($31,588 - $71,012.37 full-time scale).Scale Factors: Salary increases based on years of experience, advanced educational degrees, and earned credit hours.
Benefits: Options available per Diocese of Belleville part-time employee policies.
