Psychiatrist - Psych Adult

Summary:

• Location: Binghamton, New York
• Duration: Approximately 3 weeks from tentative selection through 12/31/2030
• Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnosis
• Develop treatment plans and manage medication
• Prescribe psychotropic medication
• Provide individual counseling and psychiatric care
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Conduct case reviews and provide treatment recommendations
• Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies
• Admit patients from hospitals, CPEP, and emergency departments
• Participate in Clinical Reviews, Forensic Reviews, AOTs, TOOs, and 2PC documentation
• Complete all required documentation per OMH/GBHC standards
• Attend daily morning hand-off meetings
• Maintain attendance Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Requirements:

• Board Certified Psychiatrist (ABPN)
• Active New York medical license
• Must successfully complete GBHC credentialing and privileging

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OMH operations
• Willingness to cover all inpatient units for Physician On-Call coverage
