The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing psychiatric medication services to patients, many of whom experience co-occurring mental health and substance use-related concerns. This position collaborates with and supports the multidisciplinary mental health team to ensure a patient-focused, harm reduction, and trauma-informed approach to care.
As part of the essential functions of this role, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
Qualified Candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner training program, be a certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and be licensed to practice in New York State; candidate must have current BLS/CPR certifications, and experience utilizing EMR software (Medent preferred); Two years of direct care practice experience as a PNP preferred; ability to travel between Evergreen locations is required; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential
Job Type: Full time; schedule is negotiable between 10 hour shifts or 8 hour shifts
Required Education, license/certification: graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner training program, licensed to practice in New York State; certified PNP, with current BLS/CPR certifications
Experience: Two years direct care practice experience as a PNP preferred
