Our commercial real estate client is seeking a Property Manager in their San Diego office. This Property Manager role owns the day-to-day operational performance of assigned properties, from physical condition and tenant experience to budget management and vendor oversight. The role works closely with a Regional Property Manager on escalations and broader priorities, and partners cross-functionally with accounting, marketing, and leasing teams.

Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of daily property operations, ensuring each asset meets company standards for physical condition, tenant experience, and overall performance
Conduct regular property inspections and address issues proactively before they escalate
Build and manage annual operating and capital budgets; track financial performance and take corrective action on variances
Monitor and control operating expenses, identifying cost efficiencies without sacrificing property standards
Participate in capital project planning and oversee execution of approved projects, keeping scope, budget, and timelines on track
Cultivate strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and community stakeholders to support property performance and a quality customer experience
Provide leasing teams with ground-level insight into tenant performance, merchandising gaps, and center dynamics
Evaluate vendor service needs, manage contract terms, and hold third-party providers accountable to quality and cost standards
Collaborate with internal teams, including accounting, marketing, and leasing, to support property and portfolio-level initiatives
Ensure properties remain compliant with applicable legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements
Be available to respond to after-hours emergencies and urgent property issues as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; a combination of education and 7 years of experience may be considered instead of a bachelor's degree
5 years of experience in retail property management
Active California Real Estate Salesperson license
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience coordinating and overseeing capital improvement projects from planning through completion
Strong interpersonal skills with a history of building effective relationships with tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Ability to collaborate across functions and contribute to portfolio-level objectives beyond individual property performance
Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities
