Property Accounting Manager Must Haves:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close experience
Prior leadership, mentoring, or demonstrated ability to guide and develop others
Commercial real estate or property accounting experience preferred
Yardi, MRI, or similar property accounting systems experience strongly preferred

Property Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and review financial statements for accuracy
Manage, mentor, and develop Property Accountants while providing hands-on support when needed
Review reconciliations, billings, budgets, and supporting schedules across the portfolio
Drive budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and year-end accounting activities
Partner with the CFO to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting
