Title: Project Operations Lead Analyst

Office Status: Hybrid Local candidates only;onsite 3 4 days/week

Pay Rate: $40

ABOUT THE ROLE

A large organization is seeking a mid-to-senior level project professional to support compensation and business operations initiatives. This role will coordinate stakeholders, manage project deliverables, support requirements gathering, and participate in multiple testing phases through deployment and operational readiness.

Candidates with a background in compensation operations and accounting will be particularly well suited. Experience with Varicent, Workday, and ThoughtSpot is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with internal teams, external clients, and vendors to understand project requirements, identify gaps, and establish timelines.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, working sessions, events, and project engagement activities.
  • Manage assigned project tasks and follow up with stakeholders to maintain accountability and delivery against project plans.
  • Support requirements gathering and assist with development of detailed business requirements documentation.
  • Prepare project materials, presentations, reports, videos, and other deliverables using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Participate in SIT, UAT, E2E, and PAR testing across assigned project workstreams.
  • Document testing results, issues, requirements, and follow-up actions.
  • Support deployment planning and operational readiness activities.
  • Help identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve project execution.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting project deadlines.
  • Handle sensitive compensation and business information with appropriate discretion and sound judgment.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across functions and geographic regions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of corporate professional experience in a project, compensation, business operations, or related environment.
  • Compensation operations experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including payables, expenses, and accounting processes.
  • Accounting experience strongly recommended.
  • Experience with Varicent, Workday, and/or ThoughtSpot is a significant plus.
  • Experience with project management methodologies, processes, and project planning.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to work with complex calculations.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and preparing business requirements documentation.
  • Experience supporting system or business-process testing, including SIT, UAT, E2E, or PAR.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, as well as Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience with project collaboration and productivity tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Strong organizational, communication, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and navigate complex organizational environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership of responsibilities and ability to independently drive assigned work.
  • Comfortable working with global stakeholders and coordinating across multiple teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent, accurate results.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and exercise sound judgment.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset with an interest in process efficiency.
