Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Sioux Falls, SD

An established and growing design-build firm based in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team. This company has built a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and delivering impactful communities throughout the region.

We are looking for a builder at heart—someone who genuinely loves construction and takes pride in seeing projects move from concept to completion.


Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee multifamily and student housing projects, with a strong focus on wood-framed construction. Working within a collaborative design-build environment, you will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring schedule, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from preconstruction through final completion

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets

  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and procurement

  • Coordinate closely with in-house design teams in a design-build delivery model

  • Provide leadership to Superintendents, Project Engineers, and field teams

  • Maintain strong communication with ownership groups and stakeholders

  • Monitor cost control, change management, and project forecasting

  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager

  • Current experience working for a General Contractor preferred

  • Strong background in multifamily and/or student housing projects

  • Experience with wood-framed construction required

  • Construction Management or equivalent degree preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Passion for construction and a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset
