Description

This position will be 100% remote. Position most likely to be extended 6 months in 2027.

Work Location: Remote within the United States
Education: Bachelor's degree required

Primary Focus: Launch, scale, and sustain an enterprise Organization Design Community of Practice
 
  • The Project Manager will provide dedicated project management, operational leadership, coordination, and execution support to launch, scale, and sustain the Enterprise Organization Design Community of Practice. The role will translate the Community strategy into a disciplined operating model and ensure that sessions, communications, content, stakeholders, Core Team activities, collaboration spaces, engagement mechanisms, and follow-up actions are planned and executed effectively.
  • The Project Manager will serve as the operational engine of the Community. The contractor will independently create structure, drive work forward, coordinate contributors, manage details, surface risks, and deliver high-quality outcomes while partnering closely with the Organization Effectiveness Portfolio Leader and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and Project Management
  • Translate the Enterprise Community of Practice vision into an actionable implementation roadmap with milestones, owners, dependencies, decisions, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated project plan covering launch readiness, ongoing operations, content, communications, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and manage the operating rhythm required to run the Community effectively across multiple platforms and stakeholder groups.
  • Maintain forward-looking workplans so that sessions, content, presenters, communications, and materials are prepared with sufficient lead time.
  • Coordinate simultaneous workstreams, track commitments, follow up with owners, and drive actions to closure.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, decisions, resource constraints, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Escalate matters requiring leadership attention with clear context, options, and recommended next steps.
  • Maintain accurate program documentation, trackers, calendars, decision logs, and status reporting.

Community Session Planning and Production
  • Coordinate end-to-end planning and production of Community of Practice learning sessions, Office Hours, and related events.
  • Develop detailed production plans, timelines, checklists, agendas, and run-of-show documents.
  • Coordinate topics, facilitators, speakers, subject matter experts, panelists, and contributors.
  • Schedule preparation meetings and rehearsals and manage deadlines for presentation materials and supporting resources.
  • Collect, integrate, format, and quality-check session materials in partnership with content owners.
  • Coordinate meeting invitations, distribution lists, attendance processes, pre-session communications, and reminders.
  • Manage Microsoft Teams logistics, technical preparation, live-session production, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Capture questions, decisions, follow-up actions, and unanswered items during sessions.
  • Coordinate distribution and organization of recordings, decks, tools, job aids, and post-session resources.
  • Create repeatable production processes and templates to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.

Enterprise Scale-Up:
  • Translate learning from existing Community activities into a scalable enterprise operating model.
  • Build and maintain the detailed readiness plan for enterprise launch and expansion.
  • Identify operational requirements, stakeholder groups, dependencies, and decision points required for scale.
  • Develop scalable processes that reduce reliance on one-off execution and individual knowledge.
  • Create onboarding materials and processes for new members, contributors, speakers, and Core Team participants.
  • Support expansion across platforms while enabling relevant local participation and contribution.
  • Document roles, responsibilities, handoffs, governance routines, and standard ways of working.
  • Core Team Coordination
  • Coordinate the Core Team operating rhythm, meetings, agendas, materials, decisions, and action tracking.
  • Maintain clarity on member roles, commitments, deliverables, dependencies, and due dates.
  • Follow up with contributors to ensure commitments are completed and risks are raised early.
  • Coordinate content-development assignments and contributions across Core Team members and subject matter experts.
  • Support onboarding of new members and maintain current documentation of operating practices.
  • Facilitate information flow among the Portfolio Leader, Core Team, guest contributors, and broader Community.

Community Engagement:
  • Develop and maintain a Community engagement plan that supports active participation between formal sessions.
  • Create mechanisms for members to contribute questions, experiences, practices, examples, and tools.
  • Solicit topic requests, emerging needs, and feedback from Community members.
  • Identify potential subject matter experts, speakers, and contributors from across the enterprise.
  • Promote learning activities and newly released resources through clear, timely communications.
  • Monitor engagement patterns and recommend practical actions to improve participation and value.
  • Support Office Hours and other mechanisms for peer learning, discussion, and practitioner interaction.

Microsoft Teams and Knowledge Management:
  • Administer the day-to-day Community collaboration environment in Microsoft Teams.
  • Create and maintain an intuitive information architecture for content, recordings, tools, and resources.
  • Post, organize, update, archive, and quality-check Community content.
  • Develop and apply naming, filing, and version-control conventions.
  • Maintain frequently requested resources, links, announcements, and session follow-up materials.
  • Coordinate connections between Teams and other approved content repositories.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to remove or archive outdated, duplicate, or superseded material.

Communications:
  • Develop and manage the Community communications calendar.
  • Draft invitations, reminders, announcements, speaker communications, and post-session follow-up messages.
  • Ensure communications clearly explain the purpose, relevance, and requested action for the audience.
  • Maintain consistent terminology, tone, and messaging across Community communications.
  • Prepare concise status updates and executive-ready summaries for the Portfolio Leader and key stakeholders.

Voice of the Customer and Continuous Improvement:
  • Create lightweight mechanisms to capture participant feedback, topic requests, questions, and improvement ideas.
  • Maintain a structured Voice-of-the-Customer and improvement backlog.
  • Identify recurring needs and distinguish isolated requests from broader enterprise patterns.
  • Conduct periodic retrospectives on Community operations and recommend process improvements.
  • Partner with the Portfolio Leader and Instructional Designer to translate feedback into content, learning, and operating-model improvements.
  • Track approved improvements through implementation and assess whether changes improved the user experience.

Metrics and Reporting:
  • Establish and maintain an agreed Community scorecard.
  • Track participation, engagement, session feedback, topic requests, content usage, milestone execution, and action closure where data is available.
  • Capture qualitative examples of application, usefulness, and emerging practitioner needs.
  • Prepare recurring status reports that highlight progress, risks, insights, decisions, and recommendations.
  • Use data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve Community value and operating effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated project-management experience independently driving complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and related Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Excellent organization, planning, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to create structure from ambiguity and move work forward with limited day-to-day direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, contributors, deadlines, and dependencies simultaneously.
  • Strong meeting, event-production, and presentation-development capability.
  • Demonstrated follow-through, sound judgment, and bias for action.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and distributed teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Able to work remotely within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting a Community of Practice, enterprise learning community, transformation program, HR program, or similar internal network.
  • Experience working in a global or highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience supporting Organization Design, Organization Development, Human Resources, change, transformation, or capability-building initiatives.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Teams collaboration environments and content repositories.

Success Profile:

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $70-$74 per hour.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include [geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate].
