Job Title: Project Manager - HVAC

Location: Alameda, CA

Pay Range: $130,000-168,000 + Bonus

Manpower is partnering with a growing, well-established mechanical contractor to hire a Commercial HVAC Project Manager.

This is a high-impact role supporting large-scale commercial projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, corporate campuses, and educational buildings.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in HVAC/mechanical construction, is comfortable in design-build environments, and can confidently manage projects from preconstruction through execution.

What Is the Job:

• Manage the full lifecycle of commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects
• Lead day-to-day project execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
• Perform estimating, proposal development, and scope definition for new opportunities
• Participate in design-build collaboration, including conceptual design input
• Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, construction, purchasing, and accounting
• Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Manage project financials, including budget forecasting and cost controls
• Prepare and manage contracts, change orders, proposals, and project documentation
• Ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and profitability targets

What is Needed:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing construction
• Strong background in:
  • Design-build project environments
  • Estimating and project costing (non-negotiable)
• Experience managing tenant improvement and/or ground-up construction projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across GCs, clients, and internal teams
• Strong communication and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field
• Experience working on:
  • Data centers
  • Healthcare or large commercial facilities
• Background with union environments or mechanical contractors
• Advanced education (MBA/PE) a plus, but not required
