Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Senior IT Project Manager to join the IT organization of a leading medical device company. The candidate will be responsible for leading medium-to-large, complex technology projects from initiation through successful delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in healthcare technology or medical device environments, excellent project leadership and stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of PMO methodologies, processes, templates, and tools.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience working in Medical Devices, Healthcare Technology, or Healthcare IT
- Strong Project Leadership and Delivery experience
- Excellent Stakeholder Management and Communication skills
- Strong knowledge of PMO methodologies, templates, processes, and tools
- Experience managing complex projects from initiation through implementation
- Strong experience with project planning, budgeting, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, IT leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Good-to-Have Skills
- Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies
- Experience implementing or supporting AI/technology initiatives
- Experience working in regulated healthcare or medical device environments
Key Responsibilities
- Lead medium-to-large and complex IT/technology projects from initiation to completion
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leadership, technical teams, and external vendors
- Establish project governance and follow PMO standards, methodologies, and templates
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes
- Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and reports to leadership
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate third-party deliverables
- Ensure project documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive issue resolution and make appropriate decisions to keep projects on track
- Ensure successful transition of completed projects into business/IT operations
Required Qualifications
- 8 15 years of overall project/program management experience
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Healthcare, or a related field
- Proven experience managing complex IT/technology projects
- Healthcare, medical device, or healthcare technology experience is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to attend an in-person interview in Austin, TX.
