ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Leadership

Provide leadership for the Project Team (multi-discipline engineering and design team) which is described as timely decision-making, inspirational presence, personal and team level accountability and responsibility, integrity, effective maintenanceofopenandforthrightcommunicationswithothers,andtransparency of motivation and action.

EstablishandreinforceaProjectTeamidentity,vision,andpurposethatis consistent with the objectives of the entire organization.

Establishcleargoalsandsetsdirection/visionforindividualprojectsandproject team members. Is self-confident, competent, assertive, and decisive.

Resolveteamconflictsinastraightforward,positiveandprofessionalmanner.

Role models collaborative leadership by building strong and productive relationshipswithotherprojectmanagerstoensuretheoverallsuccessofthe organization and the team.

TeamManagement

ResponsibleforoverallperformanceofaProjectTeam.

Organize,oversee,andmanagetheworkoftheengineersanddesignersworkingon his/her Project Team to meet individual project schedule and budget requirements.

Performtimelyemployeeevaluationsprovidingdetailedgoalsandobjectivesfor Engineers and Designers.Coordinate with discipline engineering managers to ensure professional development of team members.

ProjectManagement

Competent and well-versed in the general principles of project management, includingprojectscoping/initiation,projectbudgetdevelopment,projectplanning and scheduling, project controls, project execution, and project close-out.

Timelyandthoroughindevelopingclearworkplans,ensuringtheProjectTeamhas a clear scope and plan, managing project change, tracking project progress, and executing project requirements.Manage project schedules using a deliverables based approach.

Responsibleforoverallfinancialperformanceofyourprojects.

TechnicalLeadership

Exhibit multi-discipline technical knowledge along with the willingness to engage withandchallengetheengineersanddesignersworkingonprojectstosteerprojects technically, and ensure timely technical decision-making.Able to weigh pro’s and con’s of various technical decision points in a multi-discipline environment.

Ensures efficient coordination of all engineering disciplines on a project.Able to inform the client regarding key technical elements of projects, and implications of clientgoalsandthoughtprocessesonoverallprojectcost,schedule,andcomplexity.

Professionalism

Display a high degree of professionalism, which is generally described as i) the respectfultreatmentofselfandothers,ii)professionalrepresentationofoneselfand the company, iii) the pursuit of personal and professional growth, and iv) maintaining a positive, productive attitude and the desire to do a good job.

SoftwareUtilization

Isexpectedtobecomeexpertintheproperuseofprojectmanagementsoftware tools.Exhibit proficiency in the use of general office software packages.

Possessabasicunderstandingofthelimitationsandcapabilitiesofthesoftware packages utilized by engineers and designers within the Project Team.

StandardsandProcedures

Isresponsibleforensuringthatcorporatestandardsandproceduresare implemented in the execution of projects.

Field/SiteSkills

Followallcompanysafetystandardsinthefield.

Supportfieldwithinstallation,fieldinquiriesandconstruction.

Abletoindependentlyapplyengineeringandsystemsknowledgetotheassessment, evaluation, start-up and optimization of working systems.

JobProficiency

Exhibit good time management skills, the ability to think and assess project challengesindependently,andtheabilitytolearnfrompastexperiencesandimprove future performance on related tasks.Display the ability to coordinate the work and activities of a discipline project team, to provide clear technical direction and support to their work, and to manage the group’s technical processes towards the overall project objectives.

Engineeringanddesignexperiencewiththermalpowerplantsusingvarious technologies/prime movers

Engineeringanddesignexperiencewithrenewableenergypowerplantsaplus

PowerPlantoperationsexperienceaplus

Proficiencyinuseofjobapplicablesoftware

WORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICALDEMANDS:
