Project Manager (Commercial Drywall and Interiors)

Location: Syracuse, NY
Company: Confidential Client

The Opportunity

We are working with a growing commercial drywall and interiors contractor in the Syracuse market that is actively expanding its project portfolio. The company has recently secured significant work, including projects in the $10M+ range, with additional backlog building quickly.

They are looking to bring on a dedicated Project Manager to help support this growth and take ownership of key projects. This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role with clear visibility toward future leadership and operational responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial drywall and interiors projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and overall execution.
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.
  • Handle RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Drive project profitability and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards.

What Makes This Role Unique

This is a true Project Management role with a focus on running work, not splitting time estimating.

Strong and growing project pipeline, including recently awarded work exceeding $10M, with additional opportunities pushing total workload significantly higher.

Clear opportunity for long-term growth into operations or leadership as the office expands.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing commercial drywall and interiors projects.
  • Ability to run multiple projects while maintaining control of schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience working in union environments is a plus.
  • Field background or strong understanding of construction processes preferred.

Compensation

Competitive base salary based on experience.
