Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage projects from contract award through closeout. The successful candidate will ensure successful delivery within established schedules, budgets, and quality standards, and will act as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from contract award through closeout, ensuring successful delivery within established schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and lead project review meetings to monitor progress, address risks, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders regarding project scope, schedules, budgets, change management, and invoicing.
  • Support business development efforts through the preparation of project proposals, bids, estimates, and work authorizations.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including final invoicing, documentation, record retention, and contract completion requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and administer change orders, contracts, and other project-related documentation.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to support project execution, while monitoring costs, budgets, and overall project performance.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, project-specific safety plans, and applicable regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating clear and proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project activities are executed in accordance with contractual requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, and company procedures.
  • Contribute to project financial management activities, including forecasting, work-in-progress (WIP) reviews, budget tracking, cost control, and financial performance analysis.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other project management tools to prepare reports, track project metrics, and maintain project documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or environmental field, or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Management related to Remediation work.
  • Ability to work well remotely.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time, primarily to the Midwest for 1-2 days at a time.

Work Environment

  • This position offers a remote working opportunity with occasional travel required to oversee work. The company specializes in hazardous waste removal, vacuum services, waste management, decontamination, and related services. The role involves tasks such as tank cleaning, product recovery and transfer, demolition and dismantling, facility closures, and vapor intrusion mitigation. The company also engages in soil and groundwater treatment systems, sediment removal and capping, multi-acre earthwork and contaminated soil management, and excavation and removal.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
