We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager I to join our team at K&A Power Group in Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. The Transmission Project Manager I is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of assigned transmission projects, including scope, schedule, and budget. This role oversees a portfolio of projects ranging from $100K to $25M and of varying complexity.

Projects may include new transmission line construction, line rebuilds, substation construction, transformer replacements, switchgear replacements, or a combination of these.

The Project Manager partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring successful project execution from development through completion while maintaining compliance with safety standards and organizational processes.

Role Expectations:

  • Manage assigned transmission projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Lead project execution of multiple “White” or “Green I” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix
  • Transition projects from Development and establish project teams with relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate and monitor stakeholder deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Track, manage, and report on project financials in collaboration with Project Controls
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive resolution of issues
  • Conduct site visits as needed to support field operations and project progress
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including use of proper PPE (fire-retardant clothing, hard hat, EH-rated boots, protective eyewear)
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across all levels, from individual contributors to senior leadership

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Demonstrated skills in:
    • Project management
    • Decision-making and critical thinking
    • Problem-solving
    • Risk management
    • Project leadership
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Pay Range $44—$48/hour
