    Position Summary

    The Supervisor - Project Management Office is responsible for supervising and developing the Project Management team that is responsible for overseeing the development of new product development, process improvement, and new equipment capital projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives, customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, quality expectations, and Parker's Win Strategy.

    This position oversees multiple projects and project managers while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, suppliers, and customers. This role requires strong leadership, organization, communication, and the ability to drive accountability across cross-functional teams.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Supervise, coach, and develop the Project Management team
    • Assign project managers to projects based on priorities, workload, project complexity, and resource availability.
    • Provide direction and escalation support to ensure project goals, deliverables, budgets, timelines, quality expectations, and customer requirements are met.
    • Ensure consistent use of project plans, timelines, Gantt charts, action item lists, risk registers, budgets, and milestone reviews.
    • Standardize project management tools, reporting formats, stage gate expectations, and communication processes.
    • Support new product development and new equipment activities including design reviews, prototypes, testing, validation, tooling, production readiness, and customer requirements.
    • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales Marketing, and Finance to align project priorities, resources, and deliverables.
    • Track project budgets, capital expenditures, tooling costs, timing, risks, and overall project performance.
    • Serve as a key contact for project status, escalation, and leadership updates.
    • Drive accountability by clarifying ownership, priorities, deliverables, and expected completion dates.
    • Promote a collaborative working environment focused on problem solving, timely communication, ownership, and continuous improvement.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Directly supervise the Project Management team assigned to new product development and capital equipment projects.
    • Support hiring, onboarding, training, development, performance management, and succession planning.
    • Establish team goals, project execution standards, performance expectations, and development plans.
    • Review project assignments, workloads, resource constraints, and team capacity.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to review performance, priorities, project status, and issue resolution.
    • Provide escalation support to remove barriers, resolve conflicts, and align cross-functional resources.
    • Reporting on status of key projects and communicating how process is performing related to key metrics (KPIs)
    • Develop and maintain department expense budget

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
    • Experience managing new product development, product launch, manufacturing, equipment installation, capital projects, or process improvement projects, working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, suppliers, and customers.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, validation, equipment implementation, capital project execution, and production launch activities.
    • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, coaching, and decision-making skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
    • PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma certification, or formal project management training preferred but not required.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing projects
