Audubon Companies is seeking an experienced Project Field Representative to oversee terminal and pipeline integrity valve repair activities throughout Long Beach, California. The representative will serve as the primary field contact, coordinating contractors and project stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee valve repair and pipeline integrity activities at terminals and pipeline facilities.
- Coordinate daily field activities with contractors, operations personnel, and the project management team.
- Monitor construction progress, schedule, quality, and workforce performance.
- Review work plans, drawings, specifications, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
- Confirm that repairs are performed in accordance with approved procedures and applicable requirements.
- Coordinate excavation, valve replacement or repair, welding, testing, coating, backfill, and restoration activities.
- Support pipeline integrity digs and related repair work.
- Track field changes, delays, materials, manpower, equipment, and outstanding issues.
- Prepare daily field reports, progress updates, photographs, and other project documentation.
- Identify safety, quality, and schedule concerns and communicate them promptly.
- Participate in jobsite meetings, pre-task planning, and coordination meetings.
- Verify completion of punch-list items and support final turnover documentation.
- Travel between project locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in pipeline, terminal, construction, or pipeline integrity projects.
- Experience overseeing valve repairs, pipeline maintenance, integrity digs, or related field activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and repair procedures.
- Strong understanding of field coordination, construction sequencing, and quality documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple activities across project locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass required site-specific safety and client training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with oil and gas terminals, transmission pipelines, or pipeline integrity programs.
- Previous experience as a project field representative, field coordinator, construction manager, or inspector.
- Familiarity with valve replacement, hot taps, excavation, welding, NDE, pressure testing, coating, and backfill activities.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training.
- Relevant pipeline, welding, mechanical, or inspection certifications.
