Job Details

Position Summary
The Project Director will provide executive-level leadership for multiple concurrent projects and client relationships. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for owners, oversee project teams, manage risk, and ensure successful delivery of capital improvement and construction programs from inception through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex construction and development projects on behalf of clients.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and overall project performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to owners, boards, executives, and key stakeholders.
• Direct and mentor project managers and project teams.
• Facilitate coordination among clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify and proactively mitigate project risks.
• Review design progress, construction activities, cost reporting, and schedule performance.
• Lead owner meetings, project updates, executive presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Support contract negotiations, procurement activities, and consultant selection processes.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with client objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with business development initiatives and foster long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction management, owner's project management, architecture, engineering, owner's representation, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience leading large-scale commercial, institutional, educational, municipal, healthcare, life sciences, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and construction administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to executive stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with various project delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, CM-at-Risk, and Design-Build.
• Professional credentials such as CCM, PMP, PE, RA, LEED, or similar certifications are highly valued.
