Project Coordinator – Commercial Flooring

An established commercial flooring contractor is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support projects from award through completion.

This role works closely with Project Managers, Estimators, General Contractors, vendors, installers, and field teams to keep projects organized, documented, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate commercial flooring projects from award through closeout

• Support scheduling, procurement, documentation, and field coordination

• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and material requirements

• Track purchase orders, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documents

• Coordinate material orders, deliveries, lead times, and jobsite logistics

• Communicate with clients, General Contractors, vendors, installers, and internal teams

• Coordinate installation schedules and field activities

• Confirm materials, labor, equipment, and site conditions are ready before installation

• Monitor project deadlines and identify potential scheduling or material issues

• Maintain accurate project files, reports, and status updates

• Assist Project Managers with tracking project costs, budgets, and profitability

Qualifications

• 3+ years of flooring, construction, or project coordination experience

• Commercial flooring experience strongly preferred

• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

• Knowledge of commercial flooring products and installation processes

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to manage multiple active projects at once

• Strong communication and attention to detail

• Comfortable working with office and field personnel

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook

• Experience with project-management, estimating, scheduling, or document-control software

Preferred Experience

• Background with a commercial flooring contractor or subcontractor

• Familiarity with RFMS, MeasureSquare, or similar flooring software

• Experience with material procurement, installation scheduling, submittals, change orders, and closeout

• Knowledge of carpet, LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, rubber, tile, hardwood, and moisture mitigation systems
