Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an extremely self-motivated and accountable Project administrator to support our Broward and/or Miami Planning offices. The successful candidate will work with PTG project managers, engineers and planners on transportation projects for various clients including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Counties, municipalities, and metropolitan / transportation planning organizations. The project administrator will ensure project success by providing administrative support on various PTG contracts including but not limited to project research, arranging meetings, budgeting, providing documentation, reviewing invoices and preparing presentations among other tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support senior staff on existing projects
• Assist senior staff with communicating findings from analyses/studies to clients/staff
• Preparing PowerPoint slide decks, meeting talking points
• Ability to assist senior staff answer questions if needed when presenting results
• Preparing or reviewing written reports and correspondence
• Documenting meeting summaries/minutes
• Conduct available data research, planning policy and regulation research, and project background information review in order to gather project related information, identify problems and potential solutions
• Perform Invoice Reviews including but not limited to:

o Verifying deliverables and/or performance of services

o Verifying billed items and/or services were not included in previously paid invoices

o Verifying submitted costs are consistent with requirements in the contract (from which the invoice is paid), including contract ceilings, key personnel, subcontract costs, travel and equipment

o Verifying Other Direct Costs (ODCs) have been properly substantiated and the costs are consistent with the requirements in the contract

o Verifying costs are allowable and allocable to the contract

o Verifying the invoiced period is within the period of performance of the contract

o Verifying all identifying data on the invoice (contract number, contractor name, address, date of invoice, etc) are accurate

o Verifying arithmetic calculations correct

o Verifying payments are within the ceilings established in the Limitation of Cost

• Perform Quality Control Tasks

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy;
• Minimum of two years' experience with project administration in the Transportation Engineering Field.
• Must possess a minimum of two years of professional business administration or accounting experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgement abilities.
• Experience with accounting principles
• Experience with professional accounting and auditing standards such as the Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS) will be a plus
• Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of principles of basic mathematics.
• Ability to collect, compile, summarize, and analyze project data from government work programs.
• Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
• Ability to understand and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards issued by U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is a plus
• Must be flexible and team player.
• Dependable, Reliable, Punctual

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
