The Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is in search of a dependable, flexible, and detail-oriented individual is needed to join a research team at the University of Southern California to participate in a new research study called "Hyperemesis Gravidarum Risk Reduction with Metformin." The purpose of this study is to find out whether taking a common diabetes medication called metformin before getting pregnant can help reduce the chances of getting Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), a severe form of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

Employment involves: 1) Administering, planning, organizing, scheduling, and implementing activities to meet research objectives. 2) Developing and implementing operating policies, procedures, and systems to support planned operations. Ensuring these are well-documented and communicated to study participants and project personnel and/or other parties. 3) Contributing to the design of research protocols. 4) Evaluating, recommending, and implementing procedures for data acquisition, management, and quality control. 5) Evaluating, recommending, and implementing statistical methods for data analysis. 6) Monitoring participant activities, maintaining, and interpreting results. 7) Preparing technical reports, presentations, and papers on study. Hybrid in-person and remote.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities, superb problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Prior experience in a research environment is preferred. Bachelor's degree and/or experience in a health-related field is preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is $86,381.13 - $90,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education and project administration experience in specialized field represented by project.
