Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of project accounting including set up, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost control.
• Prepare and analyze monthly Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and project financial reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor project revenue and costs.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities to improve project profitability and cash flow.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize Deltek Ajera or equivalent project management software to track project costs and generate financial reports.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other external reporting requirements.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of project accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, project costing, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Deltek Ajera or equivalent project management software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Excellent financial analysis and forecasting skills.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate analysis.
• Strong commitment to professional and ethical standards.
• CPA certification is a plus.
