Seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Project Accountant with Ajera proficiency to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our projects, ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and in accordance with company policies and regulations. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all project-related accounting activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
  • Utilize Ajera software to track project costs, labor allocation, and generate financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis of project performance, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all projects, in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets, monitor project expenses, and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews with project teams to discuss financial performance and forecast future costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in Deltek Ajera software is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, project accounting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and budgeting.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
  • In-depth understanding of the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in all financial reporting and accounting activities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
