About the Program
Edmonds College is a leader in dual enrollment, offering college credit to high school students well before it became a state priority. Through the College in the High School (CHS) program, more than 2,600 students each year earn Edmonds College credit in their own high school classrooms, taught by more than 100 qualified high school instructors in 200+ course sections. The program partners with over 30 high schools across eight districts, from Seattle and Bellevue to Everett and Snohomish, offering courses in subjects ranging from English, math, and world languages to political science, economics, business, and engineering.
CHS was built to national and state standards. Edmonds College was one of the first programs in Washington to earn accreditation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP), and the program follows both NACEP standards and the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges CHS guidelines. The program is also putting into practice the Community College Research Centers DEEP (Dual Enrollment Equity-Focused and Purposeful) model, which focuses on broadening access, purposeful pathways, and strong instruction.
About the Department
CHS is part of the Office of Instruction. The CHS Program Manager will be a key member of this team. They will be the operational hub of the program, overseeing the coordination of instructor credentialing and onboarding, coordinating the CHS course schedule with the colleges scheduling office, and assisting faculty liaisons as they build new professional development programs for our high school partners. The role suits someone who enjoys working with high school partners, college faculty and deans, and district leaders to keep a large, high-impact program running smoothly and growing.
