Program EngineerThe Program Engineer serves as the technical point of contact and provides technical support to their assigned team.Who are we?Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission‑critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. Our facility in Tulsa, OK manufactures circuit cards for our defense customers.Job SummaryActively participate in all team meetings to ensure adequate technical support, including serving as a liaison to other technical functions.Perform labor efficiency analysis and provide recommend/implement changes to reduce the standard and improve efficiency.Review and approve all configuration changes.Actively participate in the change board process.With the assigned Quality EngineerProcess (disposition) discrepant material tickets for assigned products.Review first pass yield, defects, scrap and customer returns on assigned products and respond accordingly.Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for all issues related to assigned programs/products.Ensure work instructions for all assigned products are complete, thorough, and effective. Review all employee suggestions for improvement.Ensure manufacturing routers are accurate.Ensure labor standards are accurate.Ensure Manufacturing Bill of Material (BOM) is accurate and complete.Respond to requests and questions from the production team.Provide inputs to Bids and Proposals Department.With component engineering, support procurement in identifying and evaluating possible alternate components.Create "Engineering holds" in Manufacturing Execution Software.Respond to technical inquiries from assigned customer(s).Upload engineering information to customer portals.Review all customer return requests (to ensure they include sufficient information with which to proceed) with Team Quality Eng. and RMA coordinator.Evaluate all customer returns and actively support them through the rework process with Team Quality Eng. and RMA coordinator.Submit and track all customer technical requests, as well as all Ducommun-generated technical requests.Actively participate in the customer purchase order review.Required Skills & QualificationsDemonstrated knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes together with work measurement and work standards.Proficient in technical writing; good documentation skills; attention to detail is critical.Required: able to read and interpret engineering drawings.Prior experience with an ISO-9000 AS-9000 environment is a plus.Demonstrated analytical expertise including ability to plan, resolve problems effectively, and establish priorities.Understanding of DOE, 6‑Sigma, Lean Manufacturing desired.Working knowledge at an intermediate level of computer skills in e‑mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Microsoft Project.Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business.Negotiation and conflict management skills together with demonstrated experience troubleshooting and problem‑solving.Flexible with high energy, able to handle multiple tasks smoothly.Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members.Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications4 year technical: BSEE, BSEET, or BSME is preferred.2‑4 years' experience in engineering functions consistent with the specific position requirements.Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled11616 East 51st StreetTulsa, Oklahoma, 74146United States#J-18808-Ljbffr
