About the Opportunity

Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator within Career and Continuing Education. In this role, you will support the instructional mission of the institution and promote positive student and customer relations. This role will directly support the activities related to training and development for area businesses, community members, and other diverse populations as well as manage the demand driven programs in various formats to meet the needs of the region.

Specific Responsibilities of this Position

  • Interpret and respond to customer training account inquiries.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend training solutions, programs, and delivery modes for implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with program directors, peers and support staff to accomplish unit goals.
  • Provide onsite program support on the campuses of Kalamazoo Valley and onsite at customer/community locations.
  • Works with other program staff to provide regular cross training and back up.
  • Organize, facilitate, and direct training procedures/processes to ensure compliance with internal/external audit and grant requirements.
  • Draft, prepare and verify that customer, instructor and vendor training contracts comply with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Manage folder compliance process for programs.
  • Foster industry relationships that grow Kalamazoo Valley Programs. Introduce training programs, the purpose of the training and instructors to business customers.
  • Assist students with securing employment through placement programming for career academy students and alumni including coaching and facilitation of employer to student matching.
  • Track, analyze and report training data in a manner that compares actual results against stated goals and objectives.
  • Assists subject matter experts with developing curriculum for training programs.
  • Works with businesses and community organizations to source funding for training programs.
  • Works regionally off campus to support training programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are requirements for this position. An example of this would be an associate degree in an appropriate field and three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Physical Demands: Work Hours: Core hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but hours are adjusted to support programming including some nights and weekends. Posting Date 05/28/2026 Closing Date: Special Instructions to Applicants:
