Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Business Development Representative. This role involves developing and managing a commercial and industrial pipeline across the assigned New Jersey territory, focusing on energy-efficiency projects. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a hybrid work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Management, Engineering, Business, and 5 years of experience in energy efficiency programs and business development. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing vendor performance and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Energy Efficiency or Electric Vehicle programs.
  • Experience in Business/Customer Relationship Development.
  • Management/leadership experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Prior work experience in the client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
  • MBA or Advanced Degree.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a commercial and industrial pipeline across the assigned New Jersey territory.
  • Refer residential opportunities encountered in the field into the appropriate residential program pathways.
  • Oversee the performance of vendors and ensure safety protocols and practices are followed.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to deliver program services and resolve business issues.
  • Monitor program Key Performance Indicators and prepare status reports.
  • Serve as a Client advocate across the territory, building relationships and capturing feedback.
  • Assist with special projects as necessary.
